— WHAT IS MEASURING FLASK CALIBRATION —
Think of a quality lab that relies on a measuring flask for daily measurements. If it has drifted even slightly from its true value, every reading becomes unreliable — leading to defective products, failed audits, or safety risks. Regular calibration is the only way to confirm your instrument is telling the truth.
Measuring Flask calibration means comparing its readings against a NABL-traceable certified reference standard at multiple test points, recording the deviations, adjusting where possible, and issuing an NABL certificate — accepted by ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and all quality auditors.
Compare readings against a NABL-traceable reference standard across the full measurement range.
Adjust or document deviations so your instrument reads within accepted tolerance.
Issue a NABL-accredited certificate (CC-2480) with full traceability documentation.
— INSTRUMENTS COVERED —
ISO 1042 Class A / B · ASTM E288 · Glass & Plastic · 1–5000 mL · NABL CC-2480
Volumetric flasks for preparing standard solutions with precise volume.
Conical Erlenmeyer flasks for mixing, titration, and general lab use.
Flat-bottom borosilicate glass flasks for general laboratory applications.
Round-bottom borosilicate flasks for distillation and reflux operations.
Iodine flasks with ground glass stopper for iodometric titration.
Kjeldahl digestion flasks for nitrogen content determination in food and feed.
— OUR PROCESS —
Flask and ultra-pure water (ISO 3696 Grade 1) stabilised at 20 ± 0.5°C for 30 minutes in temperature-controlled calibration room.
Flask inspected for cracks, chips, clouding, graduation mark legibility, and stopper sealing. Meniscus ring clarity checked.
Flask filled to graduation mark (meniscus bottom at line) with ultra-pure water. Dispensed mass weighed on NABL analytical balance. Volume calculated from mass using water density at calibration temperature.
Minimum 5 fill-and-weigh cycles at the nominal mark. Mean volume, standard deviation, and systematic error (bias) computed per ISO 4787.
Mean error compared to ISO 1042 or ASTM E288 maximum permissible error for the stated capacity and class.
NABL CC-2480 certificate reporting nominal volume, mean measured volume, error, expanded uncertainty (k=2), calibration temperature (20°C), and ISO 1042 class statement.

Prism holds NABL CC-2480 under ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Volumetric flask certificates accepted by pharma GMP (IP/USP/BP 21 CFR Part 211), ISO 15189, ISO 9001, and all process and food industry QMS bodies.
— NON-NABL CALIBRATION —
For routine maintenance, bulk calibration, or internal QC checks where a full NABL certificate is not mandatory — Prism offers cost-effective non-NABL calibration using the same NABL-traceable reference standards and trained engineers.
All non-NABL work uses NABL-certified reference standards — readings are still reliable and defensible.
Without full NABL documentation, instruments return faster — ideal for urgent production schedules.
Non-NABL calibration costs less — practical for large batches or routine periodic checks.
Available at your facility or at our Vatva lab — same quality, more flexibility.
