Calibration Process — Step by Step

Receipt & Inspection

Torque transducer received and tagged. Flanges, shaft connection, signal cable, and amplifier/display inspected.

Zero Balance & Pre-load

Electrical zero verified. Pre-load torque applied and removed three times before calibration measurement series.

5-Point Torque Application

Calibrated torque applied at 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100% of rated capacity CW and CCW using deadweight torque machine.

Ascending & Descending Series

Three measurement series in ascending and descending directions. Creep error and return-to-zero documented per VDI/VDE 2646.

Classification & Uncertainty

Linearity, hysteresis, repeatability, and zero error calculated. Classification per applicable class. Measurement uncertainty per GUM.

NABL Certificate Issue

NABL CC-2480 certificate with torque values, classification, uncertainty (k=2), VDI/VDE 2646 / ISO 6789 traceability.
