— WHAT IS ESU CALIBRATION —
In the operating theatre, an electrosurgical unit set to 50W that delivers 80W can cause unintended burns, while one that delivers only 25W fails to cut or coagulate effectively. The accuracy of ESU output power is directly tied to patient safety — yet these devices are rarely tested between installations and annual biomedical maintenance checks.
Electrosurgical analyser calibration measures actual cutting and coagulation output power using calibrated load analysers, verifies RF leakage current is within safe limits per IEC 60601-2-2, and checks all waveform modes. The NABL certificate produced is required by NABH, JCI, and FDA biomedical inspectors — and demonstrates that your surgical equipment operates safely and accurately.
