— WHAT IS SUCTION PUMP CALIBRATION —
Imagine an operating theatre where a suction unit is delivering 20% less vacuum than its dial indicates — airway clearance during surgery becomes unreliable at the exact moment it matters most. A miscalibrated suction pump puts patient safety at direct risk.
Suction pump calibration compares the regulated vacuum level and flow rate of an aspiration unit against NPL-traceable vacuum references at multiple set points. Deviations are documented, the regulator adjusted where possible, and a NABL certificate issued confirming ISO 10079 compliance — accepted by NABH and ISO 13485 auditors.
Check
Vacuum level and flow rate tested at multiple set points against NPL-traceable vacuum reference.
Correct
Regulator and relief-valve adjustment performed; correction table issued where adjustment isn't possible.
Certify
NABL CC-2480 certificate issued with full as-found/as-left data and uncertainty statement.
— INSTRUMENTS COVERED —
Surgical, portable, and regulated vacuum aspiration systems across all makes and models.
Electric surgical aspirators calibrated for negative-pressure (vacuum) accuracy and regulated suction performance.
Vacuum regulator and gauge calibration at multiple set points against NPL-traceable vacuum reference.
Suction flow rate (L/min) measured at defined vacuum levels and compared to manufacturer-stated performance.
Regulator valve linearity, overflow protector, and pressure-relief function tested across the full operating range.
— OUR PROCESS —
Pump body, collection jar, tubing, overflow protector, filter, and switch inspected — incoming condition documented as-found.
Outlet blocked and pump run to measure maximum achievable vacuum using NABL-traceable vacuum reference gauge.
Pump set to regulated vacuum levels (e.g. -20, -40, -60, -80 kPa). Actual vacuum measured at each point and deviations recorded.
Suction flow rate measured at defined vacuum levels. Regulator adjusted where permitted; correction table issued otherwise.
Post-adjustment vacuum and flow readings verified at all points per ISO 10079. Expanded uncertainty calculated per ISO/IEC 17025.
NABL CC-2480 certificate with as-found/as-left data, uncertainty (k=2), and ISO 10079 traceability issued within 24 hours.
— STANDARDS & COMPLIANCE —
Every suction pump calibration is performed under ISO 10079, with full traceability to NPL national standards. Our certificates satisfy all hospital accreditation and regulatory audit requirements.

Quality Management
Prism holds NABL CC-2480 under ISO/IEC 17025:2017, recognized under the ILAC MRA agreement. Our biomedical calibration certificates are valid for WHO GMP, FDA, NABH, and all audit purposes.
— NON-NABL CALIBRATION —
For routine maintenance, bulk calibration, or facilities not needing NABL certification — Prism offers cost-effective non-NABL calibration with the same trained engineers and traceable references.
All non-NABL jobs use the same NPL-traceable references — only the certificate type differs.
Non-NABL jobs completed faster — ideal for urgent maintenance or large bulk batches.
Priced lower than NABL — right choice for internal checks and non-audit use cases.
Available at our Ahmedabad lab and as onsite service across Gujarat — same team, same quality.
— AREAS WE SERVICE —
NABL-certified engineers travel to your facility across Gujarat — hospital, pharma, or laboratory onsite service.
Why Choose Prism
Since 2004, every NABL biomedical certificate issued by Prism has been accepted by WHO GMP, FDA, NABH, and ISO auditors — no rejections, no rework.

NABL Accreditation Disclaimer
Calibration services are provided under NABL Certificate CC-2480 in strict accordance with our officially approved scope of accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025:2017). Parameters or onsite conditions falling outside our active NABL scope are processed with standard metrological traceability to NPL/BIPM national standards.
