Durometer received and tagged. Indenter geometry, spring mechanism, dial/digital display, and presser foot flatness inspected.
NPL-traceable Shore hardness reference blocks used to measure as-found deviation at three hardness levels (soft, medium, hard).
Applied spring force verified at 0, 50, and 100 scale units using certified micro load cell per ASTM D2240 / ISO 7619 requirements.
Indenter tip radius and cone angle measured using calibrated optical comparator. Replace indenter if geometry is out of tolerance.
Post-correction readings on reference blocks at three levels. Repeatability from 5 readings documented. Pass/fail per ASTM D2240.
NABL CC-2480 certificate issued with as-found/as-left data, expanded uncertainty (k=2), ASTM D2240 / ISO 7619 traceability.
