— WHAT IS THREAD GAUGE CALIBRATION —
A worn thread ring gauge will accept threads that are actually oversized — leading to failed assemblies and costly rework. Thread gauge calibration verifies the actual pitch diameter against NPL-traceable thread masters and confirms the GO/NO-GO bands are within ISO 1502 tolerance.
Measure
Pitch diameter measured with NPL-traceable thread wires and precision instruments per ISO 1502.
Verify
GO/NO-GO compliance confirmed. Thread form, flank angle, and pitch checked against masters.
Certify
NABL CC-2480 certificate with actual pitch diameter and uncertainty — accepted by ISO 9001 & IATF.
— INSTRUMENTS COVERED —
Metric, BSP, UNC/UNF · M1 to M200 · All makes · NABL accredited
Thread ring gauges for checking external thread form, pitch, and diameter.
Thread plug gauges for checking internal thread form, pitch, and diameter.
Thread setting rings for calibrating and verifying thread gauges.
UNC and UNF thread gauges for inch-series thread inspection.
— OUR PROCESS —
Thread gauge received, tagged, thread designation and pitch confirmed, condition documented.
Thread form visually inspected — flank damage, burrs, rust or wear noted as as-found condition.
Pitch diameter measured using NPL-traceable thread wires and precision measuring instruments per ISO 1502.
GO gauge must pass through a compliant thread; NO-GO gauge must not. Calibration verifies gauge itself meets ISO 1502 tolerance.
All measurements re-confirmed. Any out-of-tolerance findings flagged. Pass/fail status determined and recorded.
NABL CC-2480 certificate with measured pitch diameter, uncertainty (k=2), ISO 1502 traceability — accepted by ISO 9001 & IATF.

Prism holds NABL CC-2480 under ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Thread gauge calibration certificates are valid for ISO 9001, IATF 16949, aerospace, and all audit purposes.
— NON-NABL CALIBRATION —
For routine maintenance or workshops not needing NABL certification — cost-effective non-NABL thread gauge calibration with the same engineers and traceable references.
All non-NABL jobs use NPL-traceable thread masters — only the certificate type differs.
Non-NABL thread gauge jobs completed faster — ideal for urgent maintenance or bulk batches.
Priced lower than NABL — right choice for internal checks and non-audit use cases.
Available at our Ahmedabad lab and onsite across Gujarat — same team, same quality.
— AREAS WE SERVICE —
Engineers visit with portable calibration equipment — thread gauge calibration without removing instruments from your production floor.
Why Choose Prism
Since 2004, every NABL thread gauge certificate issued by Prism has been accepted by ISO, IATF, BIS, FDA, and GPCB auditors — no rejections, no rework.
