Calibration Process — Step by Step

Receipt & Function Check

Calibrator functions (source mA, measure mA, source TC, simulate RTD) identified. Battery, connector, and CJC condition checked.

Reference Connection

NABL-traceable reference standards (precision current source/meter and TC simulator) connected to each calibrator function port separately.

5-Point Calibration Per Function

Each function (mA source, mA measure, TC source, RTD simulate) calibrated at 5 points (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% of range).

CJC Accuracy Verification

Cold junction compensation accuracy verified against certified reference at ambient temperature. CJC error and its contribution to TC temperature documented.

Error & Uncertainty Calculation

Errors for each function calculated. Expanded uncertainty (k=2) per GUM. Certificate lists each function with its calibration data.

NABL Certificate Issue

NABL CC-2480 multi-function certificate with data for each calibrated function, uncertainty (k=2), IEC 61298 / IEC 60584 traceability.
