What Is a Air Blower?
An industrial air blower is a mechanical device that moves gas at a higher flow rate and pressure than a fan, but lower pressure than a compressor. Blowers are used when pressure ratios of 1.1 to 3.0 are needed — common in pneumatic conveying, wastewater aeration, combustion air supply, and flue gas handling applications.
E Industries manufactures two primary blower types: centrifugal blowers (using impeller rotation to impart velocity and pressure to gas) and roots blowers (positive displacement type using meshing lobed rotors). Centrifugal blowers handle large volumes at moderate pressures; roots blowers deliver constant flow against back-pressure and are ideal for aeration and conveying.

Wastewater Treatment Aeration
Biological treatment in ETP and STP requires continuous dissolved oxygen supply via diffusers at the tank bottom. Roots blowers supply precise, pulsation-free air at constant pressure regardless of back-pressure variation — critical for biological process stability and BOD/COD reduction targets.
Pneumatic Conveying Systems
Dense-phase and dilute-phase pneumatic conveying systems for cement, fly ash, sugar, grain, and chemicals require centrifugal or roots blowers to maintain constant conveying velocity and pressure. Blower capacity directly determines conveying rate and pipeline sizing.
Combustion Air for Furnaces & Boilers
