What Is a Centrifugal Fan?
A forward curved centrifugal fan uses a scroll casing to convert the kinetic energy of spinning air into static pressure. Air enters axially at the impeller eye and is discharged radially, allowing the fan to develop significantly higher pressures than axial fans. Forward curved blades generate higher airflow at lower speeds, making them ideal for HVAC air handling units and commercial ventilation.
E Industries manufactures belt-driven centrifugal fans in single inlet single width (SISW) and double inlet double width (DIDW) configurations. The belt-drive design allows easy speed adjustment by changing pulley sizes, enabling the same fan body to serve multiple airflow/pressure combinations. All impellers are dynamically balanced to G2.5 standard for vibration-free operation.
